Rulang Balloting History: Your 2025 Chances & Strategies

Posted on May 7, 2025May 14, 2025 by Editor

Considering Rulang Primary for your child’s 2026 enrollment? Our analysis of 2022-2024 admission data reveals key trends at this highly sought-after school, helping you develop an effective application strategy.

Admission Odds (2022-2024 Data)

Critical Applicant-to-Vacancy Ratios

This crucial metric reveals admission competitiveness:

  • If 20 people apply for 10 spots, the ratio is:
    👉 20 ÷ 10 = 2.0 → That’s 2:1, meaning 2 applicants fighting for each spot.
  • If 15 applicants apply for 20 spots, the ratio is:
    👉 15 ÷ 20 = 0.75 → That’s 0.75:1, meaning less than 1 applicant per spot — no balloting needed!

Strategic Application Guide

1. By Priority Group

SC <1km:

  • ✅ Phase 1: Guaranteed admission
  • ⚠️ 2A(1): Moderately competitive (1.05-1.19:1)
  • ❗ 2B: Very competitive (1.30-1.85:1)
  • ❗ 2C: Extremely competitive (2.38-2.80:1)

SC 1-2km:

  • ✅ Phase 1: Safest option
  • ❌ All other phases: No historical vacancies

SC >2km:

  • ✅ Phase 1: Only guaranteed option
  • 🎲 2A(1): Balloted yearly
  • ❌ Other phases: No access

PR Applicants:

  • ❌ No vacancies since 2022

2. Winning Tactics

  1. Phase Priority:
    • Phase 1 → 2A(1) → 2B → 2C (for <1km residents)
  2. Distance Strategy:
    • <1km residents have significant advantage
  3. Backup Planning:
    • Essential for all competitive phases
  4. Early Preparation:
    • Consider alumni connections for Phase 2A(1)

2025 Predictions

  • Phase 1: Will remain non-balloted
  • 2A(1): Likely to maintain ~1.1:1 ratio
  • 2B: May approach 2.0:1 ratio
  • 2C: Could exceed 3.0:1 competition

Key Admission Factors

  1. Citizenship Priority:
    • SC only (no PR vacancies)
  2. Distance Rules:
    • <1km → 1-2km → >2km

Note: Rulang’s 2C phase shows steadily increasing competition, rising from 2.38:1 to 2.80:1 over three years.

Pro Tip: For SC <1km residents, Phase 2A(1) offers better odds than 2B/2C at Rulang Primary!

What Makes Rulang Unique:

  1. Consistent Popularity: Maintaining high demand across all phases
  2. Increasing Competition: Yearly ratio increases in 2C phase
  3. Strict Distance Priority: Only <1km residents access competitive phases
  4. 2A(1) Advantage: Better odds than comparable schools
